Professionals working in both public- and civil-service positions share the great responsibility
of building and sustaining our communities and supporting the people who live there. In recognition
of the growing importance of these fields and careers, Kaplan University has established the College
of Public Service.
Schools within Kaplan University's College of Public Service focus on preparing you to pursue
careers and leadership positions in government and civil society.* Our web-based academic programs
allow you to tailor your own curriculum and plan class and study time to fit your unique schedule:
- The School of Arts and Sciences — You can
select from master's degree programs in psychology and public administration. We also offer bachelor's
degree programs in communication, early childhood development, human services, psychology, and public
administration and policy. In addition, associate's degrees are available, and we offer certificates
in psychology.
- The School of Graduate Education — The School
offers master's degree and certificate programs in education. We offer master's degree programs in areas such as teacher
education, educational psychology, instructional technology, or higher education.
- The School of Public Safety — You can pursue an undergraduate
or graduate degree or a certificate that acknowledges your commitment to public safety. We offer graduate degrees in criminal
justice and homeland security and emergency management. Undergraduate degrees are available in criminal justice, criminal
justice administration and management, international and comparative criminal justice, fire science, and emergency management.
