THE KAPLAN COMMITMENTSM STATEMENT

You have the right to make an educated decision about your education. That's why at Kaplan University, you can take the first 3 weeks of class to decide if you will stay and pursue your studies—or withdraw without any financial obligation beyond the application fee.

That's how confident we are in the quality of our instructors and programs, and how committed we are to serving our students. That's the Kaplan Commitment (SM).

Choose from more than 180 degrees and programs in today's in-demand fields, such as business, IT, criminal justice, and nursing.

    HERE'S HOW IT WORKS:

  • Enrollment: You'll attend real classes for real credits. These classes count toward your degree if completed. During this period, a representative from the Kaplan University Office of Financial Aid will clearly estimate your expected school costs: tuition, books, miscellaneous — everything, including the application fee, as well as your financial aid options should you be eligible.
  • Week 1: You'll begin the 3-week introductory period, during which you'll get exposed to our curriculum, faculty, and classroom or online platforms. If at any point during the introductory period you decide we're not right for you, you can opt out with no tuition cost or other financial obligation to Kaplan University, except for the application fee.*
  • Week 3: This is the checkpoint week. It marks the end of your introductory period, and is the time to let us officially know if you no longer wish to continue. Otherwise, if you're meeting our academic standards, and have submitted all required documentation, you will move forward with your Kaplan University education. If applicable, you will receive your specific financial aid package.
  • Week 10: The first term ends. If you meet all academic and course requirements, you will earn your course credits and continue your degree path.

*Classes count toward a degree if satisfactorily completed. No credits are earned if the student withdraws during the introductory period (3 weeks for undergraduate students), which begins day one of the first term. Students who choose to continue their studies at the University will need to meet specific requirements. Graduate programs not included. Additional terms may apply to international and non-U.S. citizen students. For further information, see the University Catalog and Addendum available at kaplanuniversity.edu.
